You live in Monaco. It's a special place, what is there life?
Not as crazy as the race weekend. Apart from the time it is a quiet place like a lot of others. OK, a little different because of the spell, but here we do normal things like other people do.
Do you feel pressure because of the speculation about your future and the fact that you had to replace the Ferrari?
The pressure in the Ferrari is always great, especially when you do not win and it did not change. But I do not care much what people say. I care more about what I think and what I believe than to take care of the many things I hear every day.
It gets to the point where you get these questions and would like to say just be quiet?
Sometimes, certainly, to say shut up. But that does not work. I have to concentrate on better results. If everything is silent.
It's hard to go with the feeling that you are going for their future without a contract for next season?
I think if you have a contract for next year, you are more relaxed. But I was in the same situation last year when I did not know what will happen next season. But for me to achieve the results that I got the contract.
Some think that since the accident in 2009, you're not the same rider. What would you say to that?
I am exactly the same driver. For sure they would not, I underwent a lot of tests and doctors said I was exactly the same, there are no differences.
What about the incident, what do you remember it?
I do not remember anything. I remember the previous round. In retrospect, I look at it, but it's as if I was not like I'd never seen, never mind remember.
They were in this season some nice moments?
Yes, I am the rider with the most předjetími on the first lap in each race. And I feel that I drove good races in places like Barcelona, Bahrain and China. Only those results are not always what I wanted.
Do you think you have your last chance for the title in a row and how hard it was to lose the title in the last corner?
I do not know if I had a chance or not. In F1, nothing is impossible, so I hope that a chance still to come. When I look back to 2008, so I'm OK. All I had to do was win the race and I did it. I did the best I could and it seemed that it would be enough to win the championship, but it was not. I think I learned from it and I believe that I get there again.
Why do you trouble?
A lot of things have changed since then. Every year a lot of things change and, of course, Fernando is happy with the car more compared with me. Doing a great job. But I need to improve and do a good job.

You come home and your work does not mean anything and to be honest, I think it's pretty good. Being a father gives me great pleasure, it helps me relax. My son is two years and knows about F1. He knows that the big red car with a green helmet is my father. He loves cars, motorbikes and bicycles, and asks a lot of questions.
Already signed a contract with Ferrari for young drivers?
Haha, not yet. I will not push him into it, that rider will depend, as it will be fun. I just help him do what he wants to do.
You're a good friend of Michael Schumacher, after his return?
Could return a lot to lose and a lot of risk. I remember how I said it back long before it announced. But faced with the problems. I do not know if it's because of his age or for what.
What did you tell him when he told you that back?
I said f *** ing hell. I asked him: are you sure Michael? He says yes and then there was nothing to say. But all that matters is that he really enjoys it.
If you compare his teammates - Michael and Fernando, who is better?
Both are quite different drivers and they are great riders. I can not tell who is better. Michael was incredible in the Ferrari, as well as Fernando.
Thinking about life after F1 and what will you do?
I think I end up with F1, so I'll still be racing. I also have many other interests as my go-kart, which is very large. But I'm still not done with F1. I have still much to do. |
