From the 25th Anniversary concert performance of Les Misérables. I've added the lyrics as subtitles.
This would be a very powerful anthem for any popular uprising.
For those interested, here is the IMDB page for the full cast of the performance. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1754109/fullcredits#cast

Les miserable - On My Own original french version (L`Air De Misere)
Published on 9 Mar 2012
I dont own any of this. Full on doffed caps to Boubill and Schoenberg for the song and loads of ex The Bill extras for the "acting".
Sung by Fantine in the original, the tune was moved and new lyrics provided for Eponine.
Original lyrics - in English:
I had such pretty flaws
I was dreaming I was coquettish
A little naive but not too
... To never lose your head
And I'd get festive
From a bird's song, a new day
I do not have a gray dress
That doubles as a cover
When the icy winds of winter
Running at night in my hut
And great honor
Dignity at heart
Poverty is the mother of person
Yet the misery of men sister
But no one on earth wants to daughter
As bastard born in a dungeon of the Bastille
Misery begets misery
Although all the vices and weaknesses
Misery loose the beast in man
Chickadees and then stray dog turns
It should make you feel survive
As a child we did live
And that its source of innocence
To drown our despair
Not to terminate
in this life without a future
Poverty is the mother of person
Yet the misery of men sister
But no one on earth wants to daughter
As bastard born in a dungeon of the Bastille
The misery begets misery
