The Joy Formidable joined by Mansun's Paul Draper at Emerge NME Radar Tour
Plus Chapel Club, Flats and Wilder wrap up UK jaunt at London's KOKO club
The Joy Formidable were joined by Mansun singer Paul Draper tonight (October 14) as they brought the Emerge NME Radar Tour to a close at London's KOKO venue.
The trio, who earlier revealed that Draper features on 'Greyhounds In The Slips' on the 'NME Radar – The Album' which is out now, teamed up with the band for the same track onstage. Watch video footage of the performance below.
Announcing the Mansun frontman's introduction, singer Ritzy Bryan, said: "Another microphone on the stage can only mean one thing. We're lucky to have this gentleman on this track and we're delighted to welcome Mr Paul Draper everybody."
Draper then strapped on a guitar and sang alongside Bryan for the track. Speaking to NME after the performance, only his second in the last eight years, Draper said: "It was brilliant but I was quite nervous before going on. Once I was up, though, it was absolutely brilliant."
He added: "The Joy Formidable are a great band and we were mates before this happened. They just said, 'Do you want to do a song with us?' and I just thought, 'Yeah, why not man?' It was just a bit of fun."
The band, who took to a stage decorated with soft lightbulbs inside bird cages, also performed a series of tracks from their currently untitled, Rich Costey-produced debut album, including recent single 'I Don't Want To See You Like This'.
Later, Bryan also dived into the crowd during their 2009 single 'Whirring' before wrapping up the night with 'Cradle'.

Earlier, Chapel Club warmed up proceedings by showcasing a series of tracks from their forthcoming Paul Epworth-produced debut.
Introducing 'Surfacing', which features lyrics from 1930's song 'Dream A Little Dream', singer Lewis Bowman declared the show to be the "highlight of their year so far".
Later, as he launched into new single 'All The Eastern Girls' (copies of which were handed out to members of the crowd as part of the Emerge NME Radar Tour), the singer joked: "I should dedicate this to all the eastern girls in the audience. It's called 'All The Eastern Girls' after all."

East London's Flats played prior to the five-piece's performance, with frontman Dan Devine donning a black cap with the slogan 'I Am The Greatest' as he arrived onstage.
The band rattled through a series of short tracks from their recent EP including 'Top Hat' during their set, which at one point saw bassist Craig Pierce momentarily storm offstage before he returned to huge cheers.
Wilder, who have only made three appearances on the tour, kicked off the evening with a set that included 'TBT' and recent single 'Girls Vs Boys'.
