Though some of the lyrics are depressing Paul was in a far better creative zone on the first 2 albums in my opinion... I once read that Chad was an alcoholic and that Paul had slight social phobia which might explain some of the dark lyrics perhaps (especially the line: I by all my food from the BP store when the night kicks in), of course they could've been doing the old media bluff there, though I doubt it. little kix was very bland in comparison!
